Take a look, and see how we arrived at a tire brand like no other.<\/span><br\/><br\/><br\/>\n <dl style=\"text-aling:justify;\">\n  <dt>1867\n  <dd>He was born on a farm in Dreghorn, North Ayrshire, and studied to be a veterinary surgeon at the Dick Vet, University of Edinburgh, a profession he pursued for nearly ten years at home, moving to Downpatrick, Ireland, in 1867. He established Downe Veterinary Clinicin Downpatrick with his brother James Dunlop before moving to a practice in Belfast. He was a good friend of Queen Victoria.\n\n<dt>1887\n<dd>A simple idea can change the world. J.B Dunlop experimented ways to ease the discomfort of his son\u2019s tricycle and eventually came up with the air-filled or pneumatic tyre. From there, this remarkable new idea has made a great contribution to the development of contemporary automobile society. Since then, Dunlop flourished in the world for more than 120 years.\n\n<dt>1888\n<dd>1 October 1888, John Boyd Dunlop patented the idea of a pneumatic tyre.\n\n<dt>1889\n<dd>In 1889, Dunlop Tyres began production of pneumatic tyres at a factory in Dublin and opened the first tyre factory in Dirmingham after 2 years. Dunlop is one of the world\u2019s leading tyre manufacturers developing, manufacturing and selling tyres for cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles.
